rough day yesterday as i backed a bunch of longshots, and with the exception of general zod who ran a closing third, they all failed at big mutuels. here's today's look.
r3: western view. puype rarely reaches into the claiming ranks so when he does dip in, i take notice. this one is drawn outside and should show more with the removal of blinkers.
r5: sundat whisper. loved this horse last time and he she just sort of ran around the track in what looked like a much needed race off the shelf. well, this is a tougher race, but we'll get a bigger price to compensate for that as this daughter of the late, great, sunday silence runs 12 furlongs.
r6: day of infamy. this field stinks. i'll take a carck with this souvenir copy colt from the golden eagle breeding operation. souvenir copies have needed some time to get going but at 20/1, i'll take a small nibble that she can outrun the rest in here.
r8: nose the trade. this is a very nice fieeld and i think pval will have 'trade much closer to the pace than last time when bailey let this one sit on the BC undercard. i don't like chinkapin, adn total impact may need a few races before showing his best. that leaves long winded olmodavor, who is the most talented in here, but is trying to go 9f off only one sprint prep.
r9: sterny. looks all set for his best for dollase and nakatani. just don't get boxed nakatani, and i'll go home happy...
